Biography

Dr. Nagasawa received her Master of Education from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington in 2002. She later earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Education from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington in 2010. Dr. Nagasawa began as an Acting Instructor for BIME starting in 2010 when she was promoted to Acting Assistant Professor in 2014. BIME again promoted Dr. Nagasawa to Assistant Professor in 2016. In August 2019 MEDEX hired her as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Family. In 2020 Dr. Nagasawa took on the responsibility of Associate Program Director of Evaluation and Assessment, a post she currently holds. Dr. Nagasawa is an active participant in the MEDEX Northwest section of the Department where her duties include classroom and online teaching, curriculum development, coordinating or chairing at least one course, advising and evaluating students, the admissions process, and clinical placement.
